Details

In preparation for the coming era when living up to a hundred years is commonplace, we aim to improve financial literacy so that people can plan for diverse lifestyles.

Our living conditions and lifestyles are constantly evolving, and the traditional path of “study, work, then retire” is becoming obsolete. In this day and age, there are a plethora of options available such as going back to school or changing careers. In tandem with evolving trends, our life trajectories are also becoming increasingly diverse. However, the basic principle that “money makes the world go round” remains pertinent and unchanged. Truer words have never been spoken, especially in this age of late-stage capitalism. Even when working diligently over a lifetime, people can still suffer unforeseen crises. This risk only increases when people choose to dabble in investing. We should be cognizant of these potential pitfalls. In this class, students will learn the requisite knowledge and financial literacy to do so.

Features of the class

Our instructors, who are experts from a variety of fields and backgrounds in the financial industry, will conduct lectures to improve students’ financial literacy, which is an essential skill for life planning. In addition to helpful insights about financial products, problems, and asset accumulation, you will also learn about the social contexts behind these issues. Our experts will be covering several themes, such as “Choosing an Occupation and Company,” “Asset Accumulation and Asset Management,” and “Avoiding Financial Troubles,” among others. Students will not only acquire the requisite knowledge of financial products and asset management, but also learn about the underlying social contexts. By understanding the increasingly complex society and economy we live in, students will be able to adopt an independent and proactive approach to life.
